Well,
at least I got to be in my illusion of happiness for a few days until the shoes dropped. I just have to remind myself that no matter how much love I give to someone, it does not ever mean I will be loved in return.
I also have the world’s best husband. Truth.
You tried again to tell me I am worthless...
I won’t let you.
I won’t let people who try to tear me down and harm me get to me. Tell all the false things you want. The people who really know me and really love me know the truth. Thank goodness for them and those who have always been there for me. They are my sanity.
I have worked on healing for 2 years and had been doing great until this. You tried to knock me down again,...
Thanks for all the positive support.
I have appreciated it over the past years. Thank you.
I wish...
They made an anti-heartache pill. I would so take a lot of that.

high-heels-soccer-shoes replied to your post: Well, looks like the joke was on me the whole time.
I don’t like vague post. Do I need to go kick someone for you? I’ll wear my outdoor soccer shoes with the big cleats!
:’)
Thank you so much for making me smile. ::hugs:: I am okay, just brokenhearted, a bit stunned, and feeling stupid for allowing something hurtful to happen to me again...

Shame on me for being such a fool.
Never again. :’(

Striders
For RealDeal.
“Did you see my mention of you in my post yesterday? Any tips on strides?”
I did see it! Thank you so much! :D
Now, to the beefy part of the post:
Striders are not the same as running repeats (interval speed training, usually done on a track or up a hill).
Repeats are a session all of their own, are longer and completely structured. There is a warm up followed...

2-3/4 Miles For Daughter,
and 3-3/4 miles for me. Ran the last mile at around 8-minute pace for good measure.

Two Miles
But I ran them at noon on a black track with full-on sun at about 80-some degrees.
And I ran them with daughter, who for her first run ever, ran at 9-minute/mile pace for a HALF MILE straight without stopping.
What in the world? I think we have a natural over here.

Bear with me guys.
Some good stuff will be coming soon.
:)
Ugggh.
I love it when I open my mouth and insert both feet, leaving me to fall flat on my bum. >.<
Today was a stupid day.
Start over please?
;)

Got three miles in today.
Not the fastest run, but I got it in.
Daughter boxing
Apparently, I have natural boxing ability. >:)
But daughter is a force to be reckoned with. And running will definitely be part of her training program. :D Strength and plyo? Something else we can do together.
Hooray! :D
I just sprinted down a road at top speed in my...
Like a beast.
But sadly, I lost the race to a guy in shoes. Darn short legs strike again!

Dear daughter;
It’s called depression. I know all about it in a deep way, and pretty soon I will be sharing more about dealing with it.
It’s not your fault. You did not cause it. And even though you feel alone in it, trust me when I tell you you are NOT ALONE. Lots of us face it.
Living a life where I love every second of it? I am still waiting for that, and you know what I mean. We have a right...

I miss you guys
And I miss running. I have been working extra hours at work and spending the rest of my spare time in the car while daughter learns to drive. We got the news today that there will be at least another week of driving lessons. She has made so much progress. I will be back soon. :)

Thank you beautiful runners we saw today as we...
…you gave us some serious inspiration. Can’t wait to get back out there and run! I do believe that will happen at the end of this week! :D
Many Reasons Why
I have so many reasons why I run, why I even started running in the first place. In part, it was fighting back from a serious low point in my life. I mean, for me, it was bottom. It was there, in that bottom, when I began to fight for ME. Of course, it is complicated, like so many things in life are. There are many, many layers. I think I may be ready to begin to share some of them.
That said, I...

Too cute. Is it easy to care for?
Kind of. She seems to be like a hamster, in a way. She lives in a cage of her own, but she also has a larger, open playpen for her to run around in as well. She can eat regular cat food, although we did find a special hedgehog food that she really loves. We have to bathe her...

I can tell I have not ran in so many days.
I can also tell it is hot as heck. Good thing tomorrow is a scheduled rest day, since it is going to be 100 degrees (actual air temperature) tomorrow. I can only imagine what the heat index is going to be.
Tonight’s run was a little rough but not terrible. I had to stop once to allow myself to cool down, and I dumped an entire bottle of water over my head. All in all, running is so much...

Thanks! I like that mantra “it’s not the treadmill” lol. I try to pretend I’m in the olympics when I am running on the track.
Oh yes, the pretending to be in the Olympics totally works. ;) I like to pretend I am an elite runner running (and winning) a great marathon during some of my road runs too, LOL....

Track running is so boring for me. Any ideas how to make it better?
Most of the time when I am on the track, I am doing intervals (well, I have only done them twice on the track, but it counts). I only ran on the track when it was super hot because it was easier to have ice and water available at every...

Coconut water is not good to me.
Tasted like butt water. Took 2 sips and promptly tossed it.
Sorry. >.<

I did not race this morning.
Instead, I opted to sleep for 12 hours last night. Must have needed it.
I just felt unprepared, having missed 4 planned runs right before the race. The fear of failure got me, and I was just tired.
Technically, I am in the second week of half marathon training, and I am already failing due to time constraints and other things (mental/emotional funk).
Oy. :/
I am so afraid of losing running....

They are! At least what I know so far. I already have helped to bathe her. Seems easy enough. :) She reminds me of a prickly mini opossum.
